At the heart of our talks was this question: Could God have prepared the indigenous people of Mexico for the coming of the Gospel long before 1531? We believe the answer is yes. Through Mesoamerican song, poetry, and culture, we find traces of a divine preparation culminating in the apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe. As we shared with audiences, this is not a story of manipulation, but of mercy—a bridge built over centuries, leading to Christ.

We were delighted to connect recently with Dr. Mary Miller, director of the Getty Research Institute, after the Mesoamerican conference at Cal State LA, where so many rich insights were shared. In a follow-up note, we shared our book, Guadalupe and the Flower World Prophecy, which explores the anthropological roots of Flower World which led to the massive conversions through Our Lady of Guadalupe.

To our surprise and deep gratitude, we received word that the Getty Research Institute Library has officially acquisitioned our book into their collection.

For two artists who stumbled into this research out of a hunger to understand Guadalupe more deeply, this is a humbling affirmation. We’re thankful to the Getty, to Professor Miller, and to all those helping preserve and explore the cultural and spiritual history of the Americas.

'Groundbreaking Perspective' of Guadalupe apparition offered at upcoming presentation

Our nine-day visit to Kansas City was a true gift—filled with deep conversations, generous hospitality, and a beautiful openness to the message of Guadalupe and the Flower World Prophecy. We spoke in both English and Spanish at a wide range of venues: Donnelly College, Blessed Sacrament Church, Prince of Peace Church in Olathe, Chesterton Academy of St. Phillip Neri, and the Cathedral of Saint Peter the Apostle. Between the presentations, interviews, and countless heartfelt conversations, our time was joyfully full.

One highlight was a powerful article written by Archbishop Joseph Naumann of Kansas City, who graciously reflected on our visit. He wrote:

We were also honored to inspire Dr. David Smithson, Captain of the Holy Face League of Overland Park, Kansas, to create a video after attending one of our talks.



To all who welcomed us and shared these days with us—thank you. Your faith, curiosity, and encouragement continue to remind us that the story of Guadalupe is still very much alive.

We had the opportunity to meet with the foremost expert on Guadalupe at the Superior Institute of Guadalupan Studies in Mexico City. Monsignor Eduardo Chávez gave us permission to publish his version of the Guadalupe narrative in the Spanish version of our book. In exchange, he asked that we include the logo of his institute as well as the logo for the nine-year novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe ending in 2031. We were more than happy to oblige. Our 3-hour conversation centered on the historical documentation of the Guadalupe account. However, we also had a great time talking about music! Here’s to the beginning of a long friendship!

We had an incredible time at the University of Dallas who hosted the 2024 Landregan Lecture- Our Lady of Guadalupe: The Myth of the Flower World as Praeparatio Evangelica on Thursday, April 18. Professor Christopher Malloy, the head of the Theology department, introduced us to the amazing professors and students of this incredible University. We were so impressed with everything and would highly recommend to parents to send their kids here if they want to give them a truly authentic Catholic education with a high bar of excellence. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable!

Two days later, on Saturday, April 20th, we gave our second lecture at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Plano, TX. co-hosted by them and Catholic Action for Faith and Family. The morning of the event, Dallas was gifted with an 82-year record of rainfall. The thunder, lightning & rain was off the charts and we take our hats off to the numerous people who weathered the storm to come out and see us. We were given quite the reception and appreciated the traditional Texas hospitality and support.

The numerous conversations were uplifting and inspiring. We can't say how much we enjoyed answering everybody's numerous questions. We could've happily kept talking about our favorite subject all day. We certainly look forward to the next time we come back!
