On October 7th, 2025, Frank La Rocca’s “
Mass of the Americas,” written in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Immaculate Conception, will be celebrated by Archbishop Cordileone at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Tepeyac Hill. This celebration is part of
Project Guadalupe 2031, a new initiative to raise awareness of and answer Pope Francis’ call to prepare for the 500th anniversary of the appearance of Our Lady of Guadalupe in 2031. This Mass will be broadcast on EWTN.
As a result of this, a couple of different pilgrimages are being held. The first one will by comprised of the festival choir who will be performing the Mass of the Americas, featuring hundreds of singers from across the United States under the direction of Richard Carrillo of the University of Nebraska. They will be starting their pilgrimage October 3 and it will last till October 9th. If you are a singer and are interested in joining them, please
